Research & Problem Statement
From a UX perspective, the main task at hand was designing an interface that combines a voice UI, natural language input and a traditional filter style real estate search.
Ask DOSS's main 2 main features were the voice and natural real estate search for users as well as a CRM for Realtors to manage their clients on the DOSS platform as well and bring new clients into DOSS.
Ask DOSS was already in full speed to get an MVP to investors (but had absolutely no design done) when I joined the crew, so I put my head down and got to work. This was initiated with:
• Researching surveys, reviews and user flows of all the competition
• Writing out a full feature list to be included in the MVP
• Sketching out and wireframing UI to start building out the flow and experience
• Creating branding & content strategy to build guidelines for the brand and platform
Ideate & Sketch
Unfortunately I have lost the two full notebooks I had for DOSS when I moved a few months back (insert crying emojis). These notebooks included all flows, sketches & drawn out wireframes. I'm sure (and hoping) I will randomly find them when I'm not looking or when I move again.
User Flow
I made a general user flow with actual page mocks for the development team we were outsourcing at the time to get their heads wrapped around the initial concept. We switched dev teams a few times during the build out of DOSS so I had to explain the platform more than once and this helped.
